Privacy Policy for InternaLink Pilot

Effective Date: 11th July, 2026 | Provided by iCommuneTech

TL;DR: We do not track, collect, or transmit any of your personal data, website content, or visitor information externally. The plugin operates 100% locally within your WordPress infrastructure.

1. Introduction

iCommuneTech (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to being transparent about how our software operates. This Privacy Policy explains how the InternaLink Pilot – Smart Linking Automation WordPress plugin (the “Plugin”) collects, processes, and handles data when installed on your website.

2. Data Collection and Processing

The Plugin is designed to function as a self-contained, locally hosted tool on your WordPress infrastructure.

  • Local Content Processing: To automate internal linking, the Plugin scans and processes your website’s content (Posts, Pages, and Custom Post Types) based on the exact, phrase, and semantic keyword maps you configure.
  • Data Storage: All configurations, frequency caps, keyword maps, and cached link architectures are stored entirely within your local WordPress database.
  • No External Telemetry: The Plugin does not track, collect, or transmit any personal data, website content, keyword strategies, or visitor information back to iCommuneTech servers or any external third parties.

3. Background Caching and Performance

To protect your site’s frontend speed and Core Web Vitals, the Plugin utilizes a background compilation system (the “Rebuild Link Architecture” feature). This process temporarily caches keyword data and link maps locally on your server. This cached data is solely used to prevent heavy database queries during page loads and is never transmitted externally.

4. Third-Party Links and Affiliate Tracking

The Plugin allows you to map target URLs, which may include external or affiliate links, and apply attributes such as target=”_blank” and rel=”nofollow”

  • We do not monitor or track the destinations of these links.
  • If a visitor clicks on an affiliate or external link generated by the Plugin, they are subject to the privacy policies and tracking mechanisms (e.g., cookies) of that specific destination site.

5. Compliance and User Responsibilities (GDPR/CCPA)

Because the Plugin does not transmit your website data or your visitors’ personal data to iCommuneTech, we do not act as a Data Processor or Data Controller for your website’s traffic.

As the website owner, you remain solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring your overall website complies with applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Disclosing your use of affiliate links to your visitors in accordance with local regulations (such as FTC guidelines).

6. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features, changes in the Plugin’s functionality, or regulatory requirements. Any updates will be noted in the Plugin’s changelog and documentation upon releasing a new version.
